Great experience all around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Carlos and Hannah are excellent at cleaning your teeth. I will definitely be returning.

The whole staff here is phenomenal with kids. The front desk, the hygienist, the dental assistant and the dentist. Everyone is great. They have a nice little waiting area for kids. Lots of toys and books for them too. In and quickly too, not too much waiting

Recently I had to get a tooth pulled, but just as it was getting underway I was surprised with the news that a “graft” and “barrier” was a “medically necessary” part of the extraction, although this was not indicated on the original treatment plan. They quickly ‘checked the insurance’ and gave me a new plan that showed the precise amount covered. Still, the out-of-pocket cost that day more than doubled for just pulling a tooth – to almost $400. A month later I started getting bills from AV Dental for another $400! I made several calls after I received each bill and was told I’d get a call back from the “accountant” explaining the mystery charges. Soon the bills started arriving with new “interest” charges and still no call back. I finally had to send a registered letter(!) and only then received a call from the “accountant”. She explained that no one had ever bothered to tell her that I’d been calling. Turns out that AV Dental never had actually contacted the insurance to verify coverage or get it approved. Although they admitted later that the procedure wasn’t necessary, Dr. Vasquez took no responsibility for the debacle; he simply dropped me as a patient. That’s one way to deal with a customer. To make matters worse, I learned that had it been authorized, the total permitted patient co-pay for the procedures was less $200, but AV Dental was able to charge me full retail since they’d lied about the authorization. On top of all this, my new dentist explained that AV Dental gooned-up the job, damaging an adjacent tooth during the extraction. It turned out that the only way to resolve this was to make a complaint to the California Dental Board since Vasquez isn’t even a member of the Kern County Dental Society. Good thing I kept all the paperwork! Stay away.

I have had the best experience in my life there .They truly care about there pts and there health ! Christina the hygentist and the Doctors are very nice and caring.My daughter was very scared of the dentist until I took her there the front office was always so nice helped me with my insurance and helped me get the correct products for mu daughter .I live out of state and still drive there for the excellent service .I recommend this office to everyone who wants to be treated with respect caring office.And very helpful .i give them 100 stars if they had that option so i had to give 5.Best office ! So go down try them out you will be so happy!
