If you want people that not only care about your car, but you as a consumer look no further.  I brought in my car for what I thought was an AC problem as it was blowing hot for me for past few weeks. They couldn't find any thing wrong with it as they said the AC had been blowing cold when they checked it out / test drove it. "You can't fix what isn't broken" they said. I expected to at least pay for labor like every other shop, instead the owner Jeffrey extends a hand and says were good.  I was completely  shocked by this! If you want a crew that is knowledgeable, kind, and a place you can bring your car to with confidence bring it to Jeff; I know I will .

IF THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR MORE STARS THIS FACILITY DESERVES IT. This family owned and operated franchise has renewed my beliefs that there are still good honest people left in this crazy world of ours, and they're working in the automotive industry if you can believe that....

My truck an 04 GMC Yukon the transmission started slipping , I stopped in curiously at this AAMCO location on a Saturday morning and was greeted by Jarrett, very polite, easy going young man, he sat patiently and listened while I ranted on about my truck, the 300K + miles on the ODO,  the severe oil leak it had coming from somewhere between the engine and the  transmission, my long daily commute and recent motor failure from my other Chevy SUV, we talked about repair options, payment options, turnaround time, family life, the weather just about everything, at the end of that conversation I realized this was not going to be a cheap repair,  in expressing that to Jarrett he spun his PC around and walked me through a credit app process to possibly finance the repair. 

On Monday afternoon I received a phone call from Jeff the owner, he is the opposite of Jarrett, a no non-sense, gives it to you straight, high energy , gravel voice individual, reminds me of my beloved Marine Corp days, we spoke about the current transmission and the issues with it and the options on a rebuild, I opted for a re-manufactured unit from AAMCO direct, the work began on schedule as promised and I was kept in the loop with updates on the transmissions ship date, its arrival and the tear down, I got my truck back a little over two weeks with the oil leak repaired as well, during the final road test and delivery process my water pump went and the shifter cable went, even though no fault of their own Jeff and Jarrett offered to cover a rental for me for the day so I could get to work while they rush ordered the parts and got them in.

YES AAMCO of WHITE PLAINS DOES A WHOLE LOT MORE THEN JUST TRANSMISSIONS.

I must say the crew of technicians led by Erik the lead tech are top notch, their passion for their work and Erik's attention to detail gives you the satisfaction and assurance of knowing the job will be done right the first time, the techs are polite, knowledgeable and genuinely care, the facility's work area is kept clean, no junk lying around, no old parts or grease laden floors, the techs all wear gloves and uniforms are clean and neat, says a lot about how a facility is operated.

This has been such an amazing experience for me that I gave them my other SUV to have the engine repair done, to say I found a great, reliable and honest establishment to get my automotive work done, while sharing a few laughs with Jeff and Jarrett, well that's clearly an understatement.

If you need a reliable auto mechanic in the Westchester area, I highly recommend Jeff and his staff at AAMCO.  They understand that in order to be successful, you have to do the job right the first time and charge a reasonable price.  That's their business model and that's why people go back to them over and over again. Go see them!!

I very highly recommend these guys.  BMW told me I needed a whole new transition, which would have cost me over $8,000.  Owner Jeff Zade took care of me personally and determined that I only needed to replace a portion of the transmission.  He did it in 2 days and at 1/3 the cost of what BMW would've charged me.  I'd go back to these guys in a heartbeat.

In 2007 our 2005 Ford Freestar tranny died. Jeff fixed it up (we got the lifetime warranty) and for the last 10 years it has been running great. Good team here.
