About Face and Body is the premier day spa located in the Rockridge District of Berkeley, California featuring Speed Waxing, Massage and Holistic Skincare.
In December, 1981, About Face and Body (AFAB) was born out of a small North Berkeley space by Shannon Dorsey. Shannon is a talented and ambitious entrepreneur who was determined to live out her passion of owning a business and providing body treatments that promote beauty and well-being.
What started out with facials, eyelash/eyebrow tinting, waxing and makeup, has now evolved into an 18-person staffed salon and spa offering whole body treatments. Shannon believes in the value of ancient treatments like Ayurveda to restore inner balance. In the midst of everyday hustle and bustle, AFAB provides the perfect restoration haven for busy savvy women.
