I just love this place.  Great food, drinks and wonderful service from the staff.  Steaks melt in your mouth.  Good prices for the amount of food you get on your plate.  Clean and very welcoming.  Highly recommended.  We had a party of 30 people and device was impeccable.

We stopped for lunch at the Myrtle beach location and my daughter’s chicken fajita tacos have vile goop around the chicken.  We were told it was marinade but it tasted horrible.  My wife’s Chile relleno was mediocre at best.  My chicken fajitas were essentially a previously grilled chicken breast sliced on top of onions and a couple pepper pieces.  We were looking forward to a delicious Mexican meal and were terribly disappointed.   The waitress said everything is prepped and prepared in the morning and they simply put the meals together throughout the day.  Pass this location by if looking for good Mexican food.

Found this place by accident and I'm so glad I did!
The food was amazing and the service was even better. 
I ordered the lunch size enchilada's and it was a large serving for the money. The waiter was very nice but the manager was the one who needs to be recognized. She went to every table to talk to her guest and ask about the food. This is a sign of a good restaurant and customer service and should be a given at every restaurant that you go to. 
She heard it was our first time there and she sent over a complimentary dessert!! I can't wait to go back again. Thank you!!

An EXCELLENT Mexican restaurant!!!!! 
The food is always delicious and fresh and the service is extraordinary. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and appointed.
Abuelos has an extensive vegetarian menu and a very wide variety of items in general all perfectly prepared.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is fantastic! We got the fajitas for 2 dinner. Everything was perfectly cooked. Their sauces & chips are incredible & our waitress was on top of it! The homemade corn tortillas were delicious & I highly recommend their bacon wrapped shrimp! This will be our new go-to any time we’re out in Merrillville! Also, you really get a lot of food for the $. Our waitress asked if we wanted to-go cups & she brought me regular lemonade instead of the strawberry lemonade I was drinking, but I’m not even mad! (Accidents happen) the lemonade was excellent too! I never order regular lemonade when I’m out because it seems nobody can get it right! It’s always too sugary, or too bitter. Or worse, bitter & sugary. Nope, not at Abuelos! Perfection just like their food & staff!
