Poor manager rude to me.and.others and but is seldom there store covered by new.people the.person the ever.had here got a 75cent raise.in 9 years and quit no local sewing machine or vacuum.or water softener service people here so when have water softner problems in pocatello the charge 100 plus per hour from Idaho falls for what.you but at this store.  Sad.for myths customers

I purchased a kit to haul a kayak on top of my car, the straps didn't stay tight, only 3 hooks were included when there should have been 4, and the blocks to support the kayak dented the roof on my car. Absolutely 0 parts of this kit worked. Ace refused to return the kit (I have the receipt) because the foam blocks have strap marks on them. They suggested I contact the manufacturer to seek a return. I tried calling the number for the manufacturer on the packing and the number had been disconnected. I cannot find any contact information for the manufacturer online. After telling the manager I have no way to contact the manufacturer the manager at ace just shrugged her shoulders and said she won't return it. I am not impressed with the customer service nor the managers judgement.

I love coming here. They have just about everything. Tools, rope, hardware, yard equipment, paint, outdoor gear, fishing, hunting, mountain bikes... Really they do have a lot of items here.

I quite like Ace.  They are a good alternative to some of the bigger national chains also found in the area.  This location isn't huge and has more of a local feel to it when compared to much of its competition.  Prices are about as you'd expect, and they have a decent variety of things, from sporting goods, to paint, nuts and bolts, etc.  One thing worth noting is that Ace sells Craftsman tools, which is a huge plus for me, especially since the other main Craftsman dealer at the mall closed down in recent years.

As long as you don't have to deal with the employees, it's a great store. Once a woman acted like I ruined her day when I asked for help finding a bolt. Another day, a woman with a sarcastic tone simply told me the shoe I was looking at was a woman's shoe (I'm a man) as she walked by (I was shopping for me wife). I kept browsing at the shoe sale table and the same woman came back a minute later and with a shockingly snotty tone said, "those are ALL women's shoes!"  as she walked past me. She didn't stop, just said that as she walked by. And don't be in there after 7:45 PM or every employee will approach you to let you know that "we are closing". Cheapest beer in town though, and a sweet selection of wine and camping equipment.
