Addressing customers complaints about chip keys. Having worked there for 9 years, I've seen outside keys ruin the blade on machines. There is no way of recuperating a loss from a key purchased from an online source rather than through the store. At least the store will get a refund of the key if it's from a vendor they work with. Most customers don't understand this and don't care. As for the customer service employees are taught from the first day to be there to help. They don't know if your a retired cop or not. Stealing does happen and often. I for one am great full the employees care enough to watch and help. I think that is why Ace Hardware is a step above the big stores and always will be.

Refused to cut keys I bought online, even when they did not have the proper keys themselves in store. They said it ruined their cutter at one point, but hard to believe. I asked if they'd cut it, and offered to pay to replace the cutting edge if it was an issue. They said their manager was unavailable to be asked.

The service is wonderful. There is always a happy to assist employee showing me where things are and giving advice when needed

Very poor service.They advertise they cut and Program Keys for your car.They would not do mine because I ordered it Online they said the metal was to thick.I don't believe this.They just want you to pay big bucks to buy the Key Fob threw them.If the Key could not be cut the seller I bought it from would not sell them.
