The food is really good. The portions are very reasonable for the price of the items. I've been to this place five times, and each time the customer service gets worse and worse. They stand in groups and talk while you are waiting to order, and I couldn't really see the menu. and asked about an item and was told to just read it. I probably won't go back again, but I will say the food is really good.
Delicious food at union station in downtown Denver! The staff was so nice and helpful. They make each order fresh so you have to wait a couple minutes but it's worth it. I had the Reuben which was delicious, and came with waffle fries. You can eat inside or outside there are plenty of tables to sit out front union station to enjoy the sun!
The best place if you want to wait 25 minutes for your cold gyro. The great example of poor staff effectiveness. There are a lot of people on the kitchen, but it seems the only one guy with long hair works on cooking. During this process he vigorously shakes his head over food. Don’t have any claims to the personnel, looks like their management is just incompetent. I don’t recommend eating here. Who knows what we don’t see here yet
The staff were so nice. We got Caesar salad’s brownies and cookies. They were all to die for. I’d recommend this place it is in the union station we ate the salads already so I can’t give you pictures but I did take pictures of the deserts before we ate them. Enjoy!
I decided to stop at ACME Delicatessen for lunch and I am so glad I did! I ordered a customized hot turkey and swiss sandwich. It was DELICIOUS. One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The bread was perfectly chewy inside and crisp on the edges. The turkey was sliced to my favorite thickness and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. In my opinion the food is worth the wait and price. I will definitely return to ACME Delicatessen the next time I am in Denver.
Ordered the special on a Wednesday night with only one customer ahead of me. It took 25-30 minutes from ordering to getting my food, and I finally had to ask the staff to speed it up because I was about to miss my train. The food was really great, but the staff was moving incredibly slow, chatting with each other, taking their sweet time in preparing a sandwich. If you are a counter serve deli in a train station, chances are good that people need to get their food and get on their way. With 40 minutes connection time between trains, I thought I had plenty of time to grab a deli sandwich. Not the case!
The gyros and waffle fries were beyond outstanding! Totally delicious! The staff was friendly and efficient too. Thanks for the great service!
Costumer Service is horrible, December 9th when I was there I ordered a cheese burger, tater tots and a drink. I was told would take 10min. I was waiting for my food and the whole time the staff acted as though they were hanging out, chatting, and goofing around. Because of the staff playing around and socializing. I had to leave to catch my train and never got my food or refund. I reached out but never got a response, just like I never got food or money back.
Wrong order twice in one visit! I am so disappointed with the service I received here. This has been my go to location for food on the go when heading to the airport. When I last visited it wasn’t busy but somehow the key ingredient of my sandwich was left off. They were kind and understanding when I went back to explain what happened, and they offered to remake the sandwich—which left me feeling satisfied but very rushed to make my train. During this time I missed my train and by the time I opened my sandwich at the airport I realized that they had given me an entirely different sandwich from what was ordered. The lack of order accuracy twice! coupled with the bad/entirely unhelpful attitude of the guy working the cash register leads me to cross this formerly adored spot off of my go-to list.
Food was fine, but they added an 8% fee to the order to "preserve union Station and pay a living wage". These are not things you charge fees for. These costs should be included in the price of the already expensive food.
