Truck Rental: Don’t do it. 

My mom called and spoke to the store manager, Kari, prior to her move. She ironed out all the prices and details, including reservations pick-up time. 

I arrived on Thursday and we went on Friday to pick up her truck and it was nothing but trouble. The employee working today didn’t seem to know how to run the computer system nor did she have familiarity with any of the pricing options. She struggled greatly with the computer and had to call out thrice for help. She was not apologetic, until the very end, about the 50 minute wait (arrived at 10:10am, left with truck at 11:02am) nor terribly friendly while helping us. She stated, “This is why I hate U-Haul.” There were also a couple instances of profanity. 

Another customer was waiting behind us and the employee never made eye contact or any attempt to acknowledge that person’s wait. 

Melissa keep struggling with the pricing and wouldn’t honor the previous quotes, blaming the computer system. The last-minute price changes and half-hearted attempts to “see if they can honor” the previous price quotes were disappointing. Eventually, they got everything mostly sorted out, but it took an excessive amount of time, causing us to miss part of our moving window (reserved elevator time in Mom’s high rise). The truck also only had ¼ tank of gas, necessitating a fuel stop almost immediately. We ended up losing a good chunk of our moving time due to these issues, even though we arrived at Acorn 10 minutes after they opened. I can’t relay here what a disappointment this interaction was. 

I can’t recommend this business for U-Haul truck rental.

These guys are the greatest! I have stored my stuff here off and I have always had the best experiences with the staff. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and so kind!

The premises are always clean and easy to get in to. They have an inside bay where you can drive your truck if it is raining. They provide free carts and now they provide free locks! It was always a pain to have to run around to a hardware store to buy a lock!

The trucks are always available and clean. The rental charges are reasonable. I have rented many trucks here and have always had a good experience.

The price sure is nice for climate controlled. The staff are friendly. Units are clean. Carts are provided. After hours code access. Locks provided.

The staff was friendly and helpful.  It did take a little longer than expected to just rent moving blankets but they have me a good deal due to that and the computer system being slow.

I helped a Lady that had to move all she had because of a flooded apartment and I must say this facility is very clean, lit up and secure and the lady working the front desk kindly let me in to help this lady out, very friendly and clean
