Story

Active Edge is a multi-diciplinary wellness center utilizing a combination of chiropractic, funtional medicine, massage, functional rehab, and nutrition to create the best treatment plan for each of our patients. We take a whole body approach to determine and resolve the root cause of your complaint to resolve not only your symptoms, but the reason your symptoms are occurring. This approach to nose to toes care to help our patients reach and retain optimal health through optimal function.

The mission of Active Edge Chiropractic LLC is to provide personalized health care by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to create individualized programs that keep you active, well, and functioning optimally. After beginning to work w Dr Hensel for acne that persisted into adulthood, low and behold that went away, my cycle regulated and after years of not trying, but not preventing, I became a fertile mertile and was blessed with 2 sweet boys about 2 years apart. The boys have been adjusted since they were fresh and I swear it has made a difference. I hear all of my friends talking about how their kids or their whole house is sick AGAIN and am thankful to have such a great mentor for the health of my family!

Dr. Hensel and Amanda were very welcoming and helpful.  I liked how Dr. Hensel listened carefully to me and remembered what I shared which was evidenced by his comments, questions, and suggestions.  And I especially enjoyed his friendly hug.

I have been working with Jazmine for several weeks and she has been beyond awesome.  Being pregnant with twins, Dr. Jazmine is very informative on ways to stretch, great breathing techniques and natural vitamins for me and the babies. My husband works with Dr. Eric for lower back pain and walks away like a new man. I talk about their great services to my mother and my friends. Active Edge Chiropractic is the place to go for any aches and pains.

I went here for my 2014 auto accident injuries. Dr. Hensel treated me with so much more respect than the other chiropractor, Richard ULm. For everything Richard Ulm destroyed in trust, Dr. Hensel repaired. He even paired me up with a female massage therapist and his girlfriend Jasmine was the woman who taped my back with Kinesio Tape to aid in healing. 

I don't know if he knows this but those trying to prove I'm a liar about Richard ULm's knee caress in November 2013, tried to set up this wonderful man and say that his pelvic manipulations to release the hip muscles that was causing my severe pelvic issues was sexual molestation and sexual assault. He STATED to me EXACTLY where he was going to touch me and why and if I was okay with it....

I approved. It was in no way sexual or sensual or pleasurable....it was full of pain because I had an injury there. 

I will not let this beautiful family be destroyed because I used this after Richard Ulm. 

The truth must be stated. Richard Ulm did not state exactly what he would do to my knee and it was inappropriate. Just like when he rubbed my thigh to "test muscle placement." 

Dr. Hensel and his staff brought me back to life and respected me when I requested no quick manipulations of my neck after my neurologist Emily Klatte, MD requested they be eliminated.

If Dr. Hensel knows I wasn't lying after my car accident. He could tell by my muscular injuries and disk injuries how I was placed in my car and the projectile I was in the car.

Nobody wants me to speak to Dr. Erik Hensel so why do people NEED me to speak to Richard Ulm? I won't even call him a chiropractor because he does not deserve that title. I'd rather hang out with Active Edge Chiropractic, Central Ohio, okay?

Are the Ulms bullies going to try and run this man out of business because I like them better? Are they going to accuse me of sleeping with the staff too?

They are very friendly and have clean facilities that is why I gave them two stars. However, they told me my exam and tens unit treatment wasn't covered by my insurance. Now this seemed very strange to me so I looked into it and chiropractic exams are in fact covered. To test this knowledge I started going to a different chiropractor and guess what? My exam and treatment are in fact covered. All I had at the new chiropractor was a 49 dollar deductible and they didn't try to sell me on over 8,000 dollars worth of classes and they did xrays to see what was causing my pain before doing anything else. Now I know what is causing my pain and it is being treated else where.
UPDATE
Now this doctor calls me to tell me that the chiropractor I am now seeing is committing a crime just because I wasn't charged an exam fee. I will pay this doctor his money, but he needs to be more professional and not insult other chiropractors.
