Never in my life have I been so insulted and discriminated against by a doctors office. Although I have Medicare and Medicaid (which Fully Covers ALL doctors office visits) I was told that since my Credit Score is not high enough that the doctor would not see me at my scheduled appointment for today. I explained that my insurance FULLY covers ALL expenses and that if she (receptionist) would run my insurance through, she could verify that before I saw the doctor if they were worried about being paid. The response was quite simply that it is a Policy of this doctors office for patients to retain a credit score high enough to retain an unsecured credit card in the form of a MasterCard or Visa. She could not tell me why other than it was a policy. 

This was my first appointment. I waited weeks to see this doctor and all the while have been anxious and nervous  and a million other feelings (that I cannot even describe) that you feel when you are going to see a doctor to find out if you have cancer or not. 

I guess my fatigue, feeling terrible every day and the pain from these lumps  in my skin will just have to continue while I restart my search for a doctor that does not require a 700 credit score to see me.
