Story

Advantage Land Company is a third-generation, family-owned business that prides itself on quality service and friendships.

Our family business dates back to 1955, when H.E. Hegerfeld was first licensed. The current family team is rounded out with Charles Hegerfeld, Broker; Jackson Hegerfeld, Broker/Auctioneer; Megan Hegerfeld, Broker/Auctioneer and Laura Hegerfeld, Broker Associate.

In addition to traditional real estate services, the current team has expanded into online and live auctions in 2008 with the United Country Auction Services team.

Our family team strives to stay on top of new technology in advertising and selling with the core of our personal service focused on relationships engrained in us by H.E. Hegerfeld.

Having been raised on the a farm outside of Elkton, S.D., and growing up in the Ag industry, we understand rural markets, the value of the land and the family history that goes along with farmers and ranchers.

Our team shares a combined 94 years of real estate experience, 101 years of banking and finance expertise and 115 years of farm and ranch operations.
