Very rarely do I write reviews however It’s amazing to find a braider who knows their craft & makes you feel at home. This is my second visit  first time I recieved box braids and now Senegalese twists. The lady was attentive and the staff welcoming I was also allowed a choice of a flick! After a movie or two I had a beautiful finish with little tension I recommend these ladies !

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.I called ahead to get a quote for cornrows. They told me 120 which seemed a bit pricey to me but it was late in the day and I wanted my hair to look nice for an interview I had he next day. When I get there the woman who did my hair was so rude for the start. Like she didn't want me there because she wanted to go home. Once she gets started on my hair, she is literally the roughest person braiding my hair that I've ever experienced. Then once she's done I as to see my cornrows. They are all the way down my back. I asked them to stop at my bra strap so that they can fit under my strap. NEVER COME HERE

HORRIBLE. Ladies, BEWARE. Their customer service is completely UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. A braider by the name of Fatima, or “Madametima” as she calls herself on instagram offers below zero service, no matter how talented she may be, her lack of concern for her customers completely dispels any of her braiding skills. 

I had an appointment with her at 2:00PM (took off early from work just to make the appointment) and she texts me she’s sorry for running behind schedule. Before I get to the shop, the day before AND the day of, she confirms with me that she has #4 hair (The pricing for the individual braids was $180 and the hair was $20). However, when I get there, there is no #4, they were out. So I texted her that I would like a #4, sent her a screenshot of the previous message where she confirmed she had it, and politely asked could she pick it up from the beauty supply before she gets to the shop since I am paying for the hair (that’s the color I want & PAYING you for —period!). 

Fatima AKA “Madametima” then replies like “woah”. In short, she then calls me saying “I like to have good vibes with those I’m working with (which is completely understandable) , I feeldisrespected, we don’t have #4 hair, so you could take #2 hair or cancel the service”. I proceeded to ask her what she’d like to do. Then she says she’s canceling the appointment, find someone else to do my hair, and to have good day. She hangs up and BLOCKS  me. 

Ladiesssss, you could imagine how flustered I was, I just left early from work, I’m sitting inside the shop (15 mins past my orginal appointment time) and didn’t have anyone else to braid my hair!!!! Her mother-Hawa(owner of the shop) comes in the shop and says her daughter dropped her off, she isn’t going to come in because she’s upset. Her mother warned me that her daughter was grieving over a recent death. There are NO excuses for her unprofessionalism and snarky behavior. Life happens, BUT it shouldn’t be reflected on to your clients. You should NOT have canceled the DAY, and 15 minutes AFTER the appointment.

Thus, I google searched, READ the reviews of various braiding shops, put my faith in God, and went down the block to “NATURAL HAIR BY LALIA” where she braided my hair so NEAT and not too tight with #4 hair. I look absolutely amazing.

In any business, stock runs low. We were low on her hair color and she berated me (MADAME TIMA) and was extremely rude. 

I refused to service her because of this. 

Rarely, have I refused to service a client however her rudeness was extreme.
