A historical congregation driven by social Action, Jewish Continuity, and Cultural Arts and Education
Ahavath Achim Synagogue is a historical, egalitarian congregation driven by Social Action, Jewish Continuity and Cultural Arts and Education. These focal points are the guiding forces in our community and serve as an invitation to all people who want to participate. In 2017, our 130th year, we are one of the oldest Synagogues in the Conservative movement.
In addition to offering a wide variety of spiritually-enriching experiences and ritual opportunities within our congregation, we also have a dynamic Reggio-Emilia Inspired preschool that offers top-notch care and learning in a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment.
As the Synagogue nears the end of a very successful capital campaign, it is about to embark on an extensive renovation of our facility after almost 60 years in our current building. The building renovation addresses both the physical needs of the synagogue complex and the spiritual needs of its congregation. It also addresses the equally compelling need to restore the Synagogue in a way that recognizes and responds to contemporary synagogue life – especially the congregation’s desire for intimacy with God and with the community.
We look forward to the next 130 years.
We are a dynamic, egalitarian, Conservative congregation that inspires our members to forge strong connections with God, Jewish life, Israel, and our community.
