Welcome to Akina Pharmacy – your most trusted and independently owned pharmacy, serving the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area and beyond. Located in Northern Virginia, we operate out of a new 3,000 square foot facility furnished with the most high-tech equipment. Pharmacy services are accurately and efficiently delivered to over twelve medical specialties.

As healthcare professionals, an unconditional oath is taken every day to fully devote our knowledge, skills, and energy to the welfare of our patients. The most select Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been implemented since our inception and comprehensively govern our operation. What We Do

In today’s market, most commercially available drugs are manufactured in bulk by pharmaceutical companies and only target large segments of patients. When a patient has a specific medical need that cannot be met by a commercially available drug, you are faced with a challenge as a prescriber.

Pharmacy compounding is a time honored tradition that allows a pharmacist to provide a very personalized medication to a patient with individual needs when mass produced drugs fall short. We are here to offer you and your patients a new and innovative avenue towards a solution when options seem scarce.

Licensed pharmacists carefully prepare compounded medications in a safe and highly regulated facility. Compounding pharmacists are the only health care professionals that are well trained in chemical stabilities and compatibilities and skilled in offering alternate dosage forms. When your patient requires a customized medication, we will work with you, hand in hand, to bring the novel value of compounding to your patients.
