Nice part to eat sushi

Took away their best attribute, the all you can eat lunch. It had been jacking up in price anyways so I figured it was on the way out. I used to come here at least once a week; will not be coming back. Also place used to always be packed and so alive. It is now empty. Lost all their regulars. Makes sense.....

Sub-par Japanese food that desperately needs infusion of real Japanese ingredients. Rice was prepared all wrong with no sake vinegar seasoning and it tasted stale. With so many Japanese restaurants in San Mateo, there really is no reason to dine here except if you're in walking distance and need a quick fix. Noisy workers yelling in the kitchen cheapens the atmosphere. Service was decent.

Went in at lunch time. Ordered the chirashi. It was definitely a generous serving. I liked the lunch menu a lot. Lots of don, udon dishes. I almost ordered the katsu don but I decided against the fried food and went for raw fish instead. Service was fast and friendly. Nice small place

This place is amazing and delicious. Super authentic Japanese food, great atmosphere and very competent and friendly staff.
