It's a staple of Redwood Shores. If you've not been you either don't work in RWS or San Mateo because if you do, you've for sure been to Mistral. I've never had a bad meal here. I've never had bad service either. It's cozy and has a nice view over some water. Sit inside or outside, you cannot go wrong.

Lackluster at best. We got filet mignon and skirt steak. Skirt was over marinated and undercooked. Was also too large of a portion. While that sounds weird, it also looked weird with a whole pound of steak on one small plate. Nothing was tantalizing enough to have cost so much. Thank goodness we had a gift card. This place has potential, but always disappoints with mediocre service and quality

A little unclean passing through kitchen. Service was good. Food was tasty.

Great service, nice menu, excellent food. Some of the best crabcakes I've ever had. Wonderful View, classy joint.

Fairly good selection. Nice friendly service. Beautifully views. Everything you would look for a nice romantic date without breaking the bank.
