Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists, P.A. is the only subspecialty trained orthopaedic group in Montgomery, Alabama, of Drs. Steve Barrington, Michael Davis, Charles Hartzog, Hussein Turki, D.D. Thornbury, Dexter Walcott, and Erwin Bennett. Each of our seven physicians is either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and are fellowship-trained. Our mission is to provide quality care to our patients and to stay at the forefront of Orthopaedic advancements.

Dr.Davis is a work comp doctor, he does whatever the company tells him to. I’ve been going to him on and off for about two years now and he have done nothing to resolve my issue. The longest we’ve ever talked was no longer then 2 to 3 minutes. Dr. Davis also told me that my MRI from 2016 was no different from the one I’ve recently done in 2018. He is a LIAR, my MRI’s read different and look different between 2016 and 2018. I just want everyone to please be aware of Dr. Davis if you’re under workers comp, because he writes the restrictions just how the job wants it. I was suppose to be on permanent restrictions for my back, but he told me he don’t think I gave the best I could do, so he placed me back on normal duty  and that’s how my back worsen. He claim because I refuse to get injection in my spinal cord. Davis and the case manager tried to get me to have since Day 1, I told them no because it damage your tissue, it’s not healthy and I’m not even 30 yrs old. Dr. Davis discharged me the first time and the job sent me back to him because they knew with another doctor they wouldn’t be able to control them and tell them what to do. It is a shame that this doctor doesn’t take pride into his job, but I guarantee if he was any relative, or close friend he knew under workers comp it would’ve been taken care of differently. I just didn’t feel like he cared enough because of that. It’s a shame, such a bad experience I have been through. Lastly, what really made me upset was that Dr. Davis told me to find another job!!!!!

Long wait for doctor davis so come prepared but he is so worth it.  i was injured in a car wreck.  he surgically fixed my broken bones and they healed better than anyone expected.  dr davis is in my opinion a miracle worker.

Dr. Hartzog did wonders for my shoulder. I am very thankful for him and his staff in helping repair my rotator cuff, and working thru a frozen shoulder to get me on the road to recovery. I highly recommend Hartzog.

Still waiting...

Had an 8 am appointment and showed up at 745 to a waiting room full of people. Took an hour and a half before I was even asked to fill out the patient forms. I'm still sitting in the waiting room and haven't been called back after 2 hours. I thought the purpose of an appointment was to avoid the hours spent in a waiting room. Seems like I could have just walked in and spent roughly the same amount of time waiting.

My appointment was at 2 o'clock. I was taken back to get x-rays and right after taken to a room. A hour and fifteen mins passes by and I ask one of the attendants if I was going to get seen and she said they were busy but be right with me. 3:40 rolls around and finally I just let them know I would ask my insurance to switch me to a different office and walk out.  Why make my appointment at 2 if the doctor isn't available?! So unprofessional! Almost two hours of waiting in a frigid room to not get seen?! Don't waste your time here. I was supposed to see Dr. Bennett by the way. Supposed to anyways, because I never saw him. Two hours of my life I'll never get back.
