I have called SEVERAL times to report a neglected mistreated dog, and the sheriff's dept., promised to send someone out, but never did.  I had to phone them four times before I was able to speak to the SGT. , and it wasn't until then, they sent someone out.  However, these officers never went into the yard to check up on the dog, to witness for themselves how this dog's situation was, they only spoke to the owners at the front door.... so now the dog has no water, no food, nothing... This sheriff's dept is not up to par, and frankly, not a very good source for protecting us here in unincorporated Hayward.   I know it's not that exciting where we live, but hey, WE PAY OUR SHERIFF'S TO DO THEIR JOB, and they are NOT.   DISGUSTED!!!

The police from San leandro don't even care about your situation.. I feel like they're very uneducated.. I'd say that the police here are one of the worst I've ever seen in my 43 years of living

I was looking at the contra costa county site and found it much more direct and could find the info,. I was looking for quickly and easily.  But they are closed on Monday, so I decided to check this alameda county site, since we live very close to the border of alameda county.  Unfortunately, I find your site to have lots of color and options about adoption and maps, etc., after several trys to find the info. I am looking for, I decided to take the time to leave this review.  Again, it's great if your main action to be achieved is adoption, then that may happen due to the current design.  As for answering questions about regulations you have failed.  I found the info I was looking for on the ccc site within 2 minutes.  On this site, after over 5 minutes I give up and will just try calling numbers, hopefully direct numbers.  Please be cautions about advertising shock collars to prevent nuisance barking, which is more likely due to a seperation anxiety and treatable with cheap meds from the vet or like our neighbor's dog, it's deaf.  Sponsored links, shoud be accessed after,  posting the laws, that I thought you were supposed to be enforcing.  But I may be confused.  But on a brighter note, 10 years ago, my son, then 4 drew his name and our family brought home the best, smartest, beautiful, male Alaskan Malamut /Rottweiler mix.  Wow, we have found great dogs through the "pound".
