I feel it is important to do business with local merchants whenever possible, and I have been a very satisfied customer for a number of years.  I recently experienced a minor glitch in the manufacturing of a shoe I purchased some time ago.  I had the pleasure of working with Paul at the Broadway store, who exceeded my every expectation with respect to customer service, diligence, outstanding communication (he called weekly to update me until the glitch was resolved).  I just purchased another pair of shoes today, with confidence, knowing I am doing business with a company who truly cares about their clients.  Thank you, Paul, for your tireless efforts on my behalf!

First, you have to know that Alan's in expensive. The last pair of shoes we bought were a couple hundred, but they lasted 5+ years. Compare that to the Walmart shoes I replace 2x a year, and it comes out close. But these are comfortable. That said, shopping at this Alan's was pleasant. We were greeted quickly, the salesman listened, he earned us about the price range, then set to work. The shoes he picked were sized correctly. He told us about optional inserts. I never felt I was given a hard sell. If you can invest a few hundred in shoes, this is the place to go.

Boght some inserts for a worn out pair of shoes and oh my god what a difference. I had severe lower back pain and the bottoms of my feet would explode in pain when i took my shoes off after work.

With the inserts from this store here my back pain reduced by half and my feet never hurt. Kinda pricey at $75 but man are they worth it.
