As part of Albany Medical Center - the region's only academic medical center - the Children's Hospital and its associated programs provide comprehensive care for children with basic or complex cases. We are the only hospital in northeastern New York and western New England that is just for kids.
Located in a 117-bed plus bassinets, modern facility, the Children's Hospital of Albany Medical Center is the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children. Our hospital is the only medical facility in the region that maintains round-the-clock pediatric emergency services and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the region's only level IV facility, and includes a Perinatal Center that provides care for critically ill newborns and premature infants, in addition to support programs for families.
Our Albany Medical Center team of over 110 physicians has been trained in 34 subspecialties of medicine. Because our physicians serve as faculty members at Albany Medical College, patients and their families have access to the most innovative treatments available today.
