What a surprising find! So we roll into Ridgecrest for two days of dual-sport adventure riding thinking we would be lucky to find a nice place to eat. Nice? heck, the food and service were fantastic. We had such a good time the first night we came back a second time. This time we got lucky and were able to snag five seats at the bar. Another wonderful evening of food, drink, and very engaging staff. The bartender was a blast. Parking: Plenty of parking
Filet and lobster were both cooked perfectly with very good flavor. Server was attentive and polite. Oysters were fresh and good quality. Fairly priced.Food: 5/5
Every staff member I met was absolutely great. Very helpful and courteous. From the hostess that greeted me to the person taking my order and even the bartender was extremely friendly. This was on a fairly busy night as well. The food was on point. My steak had a perfect, exactly the temperature I asked for. They have excellent, homemade mashed potatoes and even the salad was perfect and crispy. I will definitely be visiting again. Parking: Plenty of parking Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten free and they were very careful and accommodating.
What stood out the most to me was the quality in each item. Everything is cooked the way it is supposed to be and it shows; baked potato that is easy to pull apart, fries that are golden with the perfect texture as well as a steak that was cooked to my preference & seasoned appropriately. The margarita was very well balanced with enough alcohol to get you a little tipsy. Combined with an extremely friendly staff, I will definitely be coming back here again!
First time visiting Ale's Steakhouse & Bar, it was for a company dinner. They were able to accommodate the large party. As an appetizer we had the calamari and corn nuggets. I highly recommend trying the corn nuggets, the jalapeño ranch is spicy so ranch is a good substitute for those with spicy tolerance. Got a western style bacon burger. It was epic in size and delicious. The servers were attractive but not overwhelming. I will definitely visit this establishment again soon.
I enjoyed my dinner here at ale's. We were seated quickly and our server was very prompt. The drinks had a ton of crushed ice in them which is apparently pretty popular and was kind of a fun novelty. The spicy Burger was great, but a little oily and my French fries were a little soggy but the flavor was excellent. The molcajete was fantastic. We got the red sauce which was described as hot and the green sauce was described as extra hot. The red sauce was plenty hot and very flavorful. The only negative of the whole experience was really that it took about 20 minutes after we were done eating for our server to come back and offer us the check. But this is a laid back town and so it's really not even a negative, it's just the way things seem to be. You won't be disappointed!
We had a really nice meal. Affordable prices, neighborhood grill + bar feel. Clean and the service was quick and efficient. We got exactly what we ordered and it was very tasty. I had the ribeye and it was tender and cooked slightly up from the ordered med rare. Everyone was pleased & the cheesecake dessert was a hit. Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating to us have 2 little kids. Gave us a booth with room to park our stroller, the staff were friendly to the babies and we didn't feel uncomfortable if there was any sudden baby sound.
I like their food quality. Price is slightly at higher end but wow the crowds are fully packed on a Saturday night.Food: 4/5
First time visiting Ridgecrest. Found on Google maps. Good food and service, very busy since it was Saturday night. Good selection of steakhouse favorites and sides. Had prime rib. It was buttery and melted in your mouth. Great meal. Worth checking out if you ever find yourself in town. Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with children, they give them crayons and coloring sheets. Good kids menu.
I’ve been here several times and it’s pretty grim every time unfortunately. Tonight just took the cake though. The menu is so confusing with its weirdly repetitive ingredients and “unique takes” on dishes such as the “club” sandwich. Which apparently is just a grilled chicken sandwich on a bun? Mind you, the other sandwiches that come on buns are specified in the menu. Felt like I had to unhinge my jaw to eat it when I looked at it. But that’s when I realized that the photo of a club on the menu looked nothing like what I received. After some convincing on my boyfriends part, our waitress agreed to have it made into something that more resembled a club sandwich. And also to make sure that my fries were warm this time around; since they weren’t the first time they arrived. My new club arrived looking more like that I expected, although it was missing the avocado it was supposed to come with, and came with onions -for the 2nd time- which I said I didn’t want. After the 15 or so minute wait to have it remade, I was just disappointed so I asked for a box and took it home. I’m not even sure it’s gonna get eaten, it was just sad looking and tasting and the chicken is dry. So that on top of the overpriced-partially empty $11 jalapeño poppers, made us decide to stop giving this place anymore chances. I don’t blame the waitstaff and honestly I don’t even blame the cooks, this feels very much like an issue with the management and how kitchen staff is trained to do things. Also an issue with the owners and their choices to make this place so abysmal and the food options so tasteless. $70+ meals shouldn’t be this disappointing.
