Alex Chimis is one of the best Dominican restaurants in Jamaica Plain. They focus on a very fast paced serving style. There are only a handful of tables so eating in isn't always possible. Once you enter the restaurant, the line wraps and forms in front of you. The most common options are their rotisserie style chicken, chicharron (pork grinds), or carnitas (pork). A full personal plate will possibly run you around 10 and will be sure to leave you full. They also will serve you in large portions so it's great if you're planning a get together - order a couple of chickens along with some rice and you'll be all set.

That chimi is on point. The chicharrones, Aldo on point. There is a good Dominican vibe here :)

Wonderful place. Friendly staff serves delicious food. Rotisserie chicken is beautifully overdone and seasoned with some mysterious Dominican style seasoning. We always get the same thing - the bird, yucca and red onion, tostones, and fried whole plantain. (PS, I never give 5 stars, just not into hyperbole)

The rice is fresh and delish, the roasted chicken is moist, The lines usually out the door due to the food being so good. They also have food items to order in large quantities.
