Alex Stavros, a native of Greece, first came to America to pursue electrical engineering—but he soon found his passion for the restaurant industry! He built himself from the ground up, learning English as he learned his cooking skills. The Alexis Diner opened in 1990, premiering as a first-class diner. It has been called the best diner in NJ by the Star Ledger, and has remained successful for 27 years!
