We are a small animal hospital in Hoover, AL. We treat cats, dogs, birds, small mammals, and some reptiles. We also offer boarding and bath/spa days (no grooming). Please call ahead for appointments.

The best my little Ellie has ever had.  Kelly up front is amazing and the entire staff is kind and professional.  Our one stop shop - we use heir boarding, veterinary services, and grooming.  Perfect experience all the way around.

This is a wonderful place staffed by great people. Dr. Frederick is a caring vet who will take time to explain everything to you and give you her experienced opinion on your options. 

This isn't some cold business. There is a very much a community/family vibe here, which makes caring for your pet during difficult situations so much more endurable. We have a several year history with this vet office, and could not ask for a better place. 

If your loved one is exhibiting strange symptoms, or you're a new parent that needs a trustworthy place to get established, your search should stop here. You will not find a better vet office.

The staff is incredible.  The Dr.s are great.  Been going here from the start / since or dog was a puppy )and haven't been anywhere else.

We've been going to Dr. Burke for a few years now for our cats. She is the best vet we have ever had. She's taken exceptional care for our very sick cat Bubby and would highly recommend this veterinary clinic. Their prices are fair and you can rest assured that your pet is being taken well care of. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Clean environment. Generally a place that cares a lot about animals - its very clear of that. Kelly, the receptionist, is phenomenal! We can't say enough great things about this place!!

Love Alford! Alford feels comfortable and inviting. I guess what I am trying to say is, the place doesn't feel uptight like some hospitals I have been to. The vets and staff are competent and caring and it is always a pleasure taking my animals there. I also love that they can treat exotics.
