When we retained All My Sons services we were asked a series of questions about the items we needed moved. We then received a quote based on those answers and put money down to solidify our desire to utilize their services. The quote states that we will be moved on Sunday. However, when All My Sons arrived on Sunday to move us they told us that they could NOT and would NOT move us, that it would be cheaper for us if they wait until tomorrow. We were told that they would come back the next day, Monday, first thing in the morning at 8:00 am. I personally waited for them for over 2 hours. I was there before 8:00 to make sure I could give them specific instructions but had to leave before they arrived at 10:00 am so my assistant stayed. Instead of following my assistant to the new building upon leaving the primary location, they went North past the freeway entrance even though the secondary location is South. They were in transit for over an hour even though Google says that the buildings are only 5.7 miles from one another and 9 minutes via I-15. I paid the final bill around 6:00 pm because and only because they do not unload your belongings unless you pay; this was only after speaking with Conlin about my displeasure with the charges. They did not have to unpack or set up any of our items, so it only took them a half hour to unload all of our belongings 10 feet from where the truck was parked. The packing materials were supposed to total $89; however, I realize that it says “Final Price Based on Actual Used” but nowhere in the invoice or any explanation that we have requested from All My Sons do they explain what materials were used that would quadruple the bill. We were originally quoted as follows: 3 men for $159 3 men on Sunday $179 4 men on Sunday $199 We were never quoted a 5-man crew, nor would we have expected to pay more than the $179 per hour rate on a week day since it was All My Sons that changed the date of the move inconveniencing us. We had to open and run our business without our furniture for a week because of All My Sons inability to complete the job we originally hired them to do. If All My Sons had fulfilled our contract on Sunday, then they would have been able to “completely setup in your new [office].” However, since they did not fulfill our actual contract we had to wait until we weren’t actively treating patients to hire another moving company to place the furniture where it needed to go. We recognize that they did do work and have no problem paying for what they did actually do but we wanted to be moved on Sunday for a reason. Even though we spoke with the owner, Richard, the hours were not corrected, the packing materials were never explained, and no discounts were applied for the major inconvenience and extra expense this cost us.

The only reason I gave two stars was because of the truck driver (Sandra). She was the only one who was true full. The rest of the company is crooked as the day is long. I called them for a quote in late November for a year end move. Their quote was for a round $17K. My wife got sticker shock and decided to go with PODS. We loaded two PODS ourselves and All My Sons called and gave me a quote of around $4K for them to load the other two PODS. I gave them a $2K deposit. they showed up with about 6 people of which only one could speak English. They did a terrible job loading the PODS. My wife made them unload one of them and completely reload it again under her supervision. When thy arrived , they wanted another 3.6K. So now we are at $5.6K, all the PODS are full and we still had more stuff to load. It is Dec 21, and there was no way we were going to get any more PODS before the Christmas Holiday. They knew they had me by the short hairs and gave me a quote of $11K to move the rest of our stuff by truck. Mind you, none of these quotes are in writing. They don't do that. All told my final bill was just short of $18K, which does not include the 4 PODS. Next, just try to get a detailed accounting of what that $18K covered. Five phone calls, promises to email a final detailed invoice and finally an in person visit to their office could not produce a detailed accounting of what I paid for. Most untrustworthy company I have ever dealt with in my life (50+ years).

Sandra and Ben were excellent movers and are very efficient at their job. They are the reason I’m giving this 5-Star review because they deserve all of the praise. My experience with the office managers was different. First of all, our final bill was double the quote. DOUBLE. Also, the hourly rate ended up being $10 more than initially quoted. And this wasn’t because of the speed of the movers. They were very fast and worked extremely hard. Maybe management needs a little more experience with how much time it takes to actually move a two-bedroom apartment? I would 100% use Ben and Sandra again. Can’t say the same for All My Sons.

My hope is that no one has to have the same time experience we did with this company. Please consider my experience, which I know from reading the reviews is not unique, before you schedule a move with All My Sons. During my initial call, I received an estimate for a price I was willing to pay. They held a portion of our stuff hostage as they advised us the final price was almost double that initial estimate. When we tried to reason with them, we instead got yelled at, accused of being a money-grubber for wanting a price closer to the estimate. This company is engaged in unethical sales practices. They figure out what you’d be willing to pay, promise it won’t exceed that, but it certainly does. And if you try to dispute any charges, you get screamed at by Lyle for ten minutes straight. Seriously, do not use this company. The movers are great, but everything else is a horrid joke. They record and monitor their calls, but then refuse to pull them up to hide their unethical sales tactics.

We used all my sons on October 31, 2016 because Two Men and a Truck was already busy. They sent someone out to give us an estimate and he assured us they could do everything we needed, including taking down pieces of furniture and reassembling at our new place. The day of the move 3 old druggies showed up in regular street clothes to move us and nothing but the truck identified what company they worked for. They said that they would take care of our stuff like it was their own and while hesitant we went through the apartment anyways and told them what needed to stay and what needed to go but they told us they were not allowed to move our crib because it was against company policy but they would see what they could do (even though I was already told at the quote that my movers would disassemble and reassemble any of my furniture as needed). Upon them arriving at our new place, they would not unload anything until the final payment was made. After everything was paid for, they started unloading things off the truck and shortly after that they informed us that not only did they leave behind our brand new $300 crib/changing table combo, they left it behind because it was broken (which it was brand new and was not broken) and our new dining room table had a massive dent/scratch on it when they brought it into the house. Nothing had been covered and everything had been shoved into boxes and was very disorganized. They brought countless items that were supposed to stay behind and it didn’t help matter that they kept banging our items into the doorframe and the railing of the stairs. Through the whole unloading process they kept asking for tips and it just made it even more uncomfortable. After they left we headed back to our old apartment one last time to make sure nothing else was left behind and before turning in the keys. Our brand new crib was not broken but the movers were just to lazy to be bothered and there was no time to get it out of there. Overall it was a major disaster and even after calling about the damage and loss of our crib, over a year later we are still waiting on a packet to fill out to be reimbursed. Please don’t go with this company!
