Story

I am Dr. Sabra St.Germain. I have been practicing veterinary medicine since 1979. I have had a long and varied career. I love animals and I love veterinary medicine. I graduated from Colorado State University, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Zoology in 1975, then went on to get my doctorate in veterinary medicine. I have studied with many reputable equine, exotic and small animal specialists and am comfortable working with horses, cattle, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, any species really. I have even worked on fish and insect pets!

I became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 1981 by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. (Many veterinarians practicing acupuncture today are not certified.) I have been practicing holistic medicine alongside of Western medicine ever since then.
I am a member, in good standing, of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Besides being a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, I am well-trained in herbal therapy, Homotoxicology, Homeopathy and I also provide Ozone and UV light illumination blood therapy. In April of 2011, I added Stem Cell therapy to my “bag of tricks”.
I am also able to do Energy Healing which is like Reiki.
I use an intuitive approach with all my patients, but first I get a regular history, do a regular physical exam and if I have a referral case I like to look at the laboratory results or diagnostic imaging . I can, of course, perform regular Western medicine diagnostics, such as Xrays, urinalysis, CBC, etc.

Sometimes alternative therapy is not the best thing for the case, and I will always recommend the most expedient therapy. However, most difficult problems are those that have reached a dead end in Western medicine and that is why they are seeking alternative help. I can offer testimonials for my holistic work. I have successfully treated animals with diagnosed cancer, autoimmune disease, terrible skin problems, etc.
