Yet again, the staff at Helmwood Veterinary Clinic has stepped up to the plate and done a wonderful job helping out a sick dog of mine.  Tina Turner is my 3.7 pound Yorkie who suffers from pancreatitis.  Dr. Reed and her staff have taken such good care of Turner that it is impossible for me to thank them in the way that they deserve.  How does someone convey the heartfelt thanks?  The least I can do is to write this and let everyone in our community and surrounding area know that  all of the doctors and staff at Helmwood are compassionate, caring and very adept at what they do.  I have been with this same  veterinary clinic for over 30 years and never been disappointed. I get teary just trying to write this to try and convey how much you all mean to me and my "kids!"

I've taken numerous pets here. The staff is top notch. They're very friendly and supportive. Can't beat their prices either. Won't trust my pets to anyone else.

I am confident that my big black tomcat Wiley is in good hands at Helmwood Vet Clinic.  Dr Howell got the big picture of Wiley's health status which is diagnostically complex, and proposed several treatment options and made really good clinical sense for several ways this might go.  I know good clinical work when I see it, and I was assured that Wiley was getting  top notch care.  As for the reviewers who are complaining about the fees:   Folks, you need to realize that there is really not much difference between veterinary medicine and people medicine.  An x-ray is an x-ray, and the costs are pretty much the same. And also, animals get a lot of the same illnesses that people get.  If the complainers went across the street to the emergency room in at Hardin Memorial Hospital with the same problems as their pets, the fees would probably be more than $2,000.  If your pet is part of your family, good vet care like this is a real bargain!

I really like this vet!! They took such good care of my dog while I was having surgery, and the price was very reasonable! Can't say enough good things about this place. Wouldn't trust my pet with anyone else.

I Love Helmwood Vet! I cannot say enough about how great the staff is. They are extremely compassionate and I highly recommend them! Keep up the good work!
