Story

Allure Salon and Spa is a concept salon in Myrtle Beach. A stunning space with a laid-back atmosphere makes Allure look immediately appealing on a first glance. The spa has an almost Mediterranean vibe, with cool tile flooring and warm colors. Terra cotta walls provide a rich highlight to the unusual art. Framing each stylist’s mirror is a two-dimensional worked iron silhouette of a woman’s face, to give you a preview of what you might look like when you come out. If the prognosis is correct, then you’re going to look hot.

Allure’s is not the frenetic, clattery environment seen in many cutting edge salons. The stylists are warm and friendly, but focused on giving you the right cut or color. You can enjoy a glass of wine while having your color set or getting your mani-pedi. Allure’s owner (“Al” Benezra) is a cosmetologist, so she knows how to provide a service and is actually available if you want to book directly with her; but there are also a number of other stylists that have been with her for ages, like the very professional Cindy, as well as some newer ones like Jamie, whose cuts are precise and chic.

Allure has recently started pushing their massage services, and continues to provide waxes (including the hard to find and even harder to get done well Brazilian) and facials. Massage styles include short, thirty-minute sessions focusing on zone therapy (hand/feet, scalp/neck, shoulders/back) and longer sessions for relaxation or sports therapy. The therapist uses a health intake form and always conducts a short interview to make sure your massage is done to suit your needs and issues. While it seems a bit clinical at first, it adds to the feeling of professionalism and gets you a better massage in the end.

One nice thing is that Allure Salon and Spa is an approved Aveda vendor, and uses the products during service. All in all, Allure is one of the best spas in Myrtle Beach. Plus, with competitive pricing and customer rewards programs, it’s hard not to want to give them a try.
