We are a 100% volunteer fire/rescue department that needs your support!
Almaville Volunteer Fire Rescue is made up of approximately 55 dedicated volunteers. We operate three fire stations, one pumper, two pumper/tankers, two tankers, two service trucks, a rescue truck, and one brush truck. To even better serve our community and decrease response times, we are now staffing fire station 2 with at least two on-duty personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Currently hold an Insurance Services Office Class 5/10. This means everyone within our district within 5 road miles of our three fire stations has an ISO Public Protection Classification of 5.
“Our Family Serving Your Family.”
We keep it simple and succeed in accomplishing this mission with a strong relationship between the department, the community, and local government.
The officers and firefighters of the AFRD shall stay current with the new changes in education, information, procedures, and technologies that will enable us to handle emergency situations most effectively.
The department shall also retain a good working relationship with the neighboring fire departments. This allows reciprocating assistance in the form of equipment resources and mutual & automatic aid coverage.
It is our promise that we will serve our community with honor, and the highest level of professionalism possible at all times. It is the department's job to provide the best fire protection and rescue services for the citizens of Rutherford County.
