My wife and I loved it here. We tried to extend our stay three more days but they were completely booked and could only add one more night. About half the park is up in the trees and the other half is out in the open. They had a site for us up in the trees and I asked for an open spot so my satellite TV would work. They had no problem changing our site. They are very nice and friendly and even escort you to your site and make sure it is satisfactory. They even make home made pizza in the office and will deliver to your RV. There is a lot to do in the Durango area, so we are already talking about a future trip. The Alpen Rose RV Park will again be our home away from home.

Wife and I spend four days there in Augest and just loved it. Clean restrooms shaded sites # 11 was the one we were in. We did the breakfast the day we left and it was very good. It's far enough off from the hi way that it's quite. The staff was great they helped us get back in. They put us in a 50 amp site but we only had a 30 amp hook up so they let us use a adaptor. Just getting down to the point. This a very good campground ....

Aspen Ruse should be it’s real name. If you want to be royally fleeced, then stay at Aspen Rose RV Park. What they Do Not have: • Internet Service (that actually works). We had to go to the Durango Library every day, in order to have usable internet. And don’t believe they are fixing that in 2018 (that’s just another Aspen Ruse) • Cable TV (that actually works). We got better reception (although quite limited) from our roof top air antennae. • A Working Sewage System . Our site connection (as were Most) was only about 1” below our RV’s sewage outlet (we had to go buy a 10’ plastic gutter half pipe, in order to achieve precise drainage to their connection), and even so, we still had sewage back up problems (due to the minute slope we could achieve, no matter where our RV was parked on the site). This no proper slope to drain was the case for most of the Aspen Ruse sewage connections. During our stay, a roto- router company had to clean out sewer pipes, just down from our site. • No onsite maintenance personnel. All of “the employees” are actually fellow campers working for discounted stays. So, if something needs fixing, good luck (it’s got to be a Monumental problem, for them to call for outside $’s help). What they Do have: • “Employees” who are Aspen Ruse busy bodies, constantly driving up and down the camp roads, at all hours of the day and night, “monitoring” their guests. • Tiny, small, and crowed camp sites (both for small And large RV’s). • Rude check in desk “employees” (don’t ask any questions about the charges, for they are an extremely sensitive lot). BTW – charges quoted do not include Tax. • No discounts for month long stays I also suspect this 8mar2018 posted review will be removed by Aspen Ruse in short order. With sincerity, An Aspen Ruse Fleecee of 2017

Nice well-maintained fair priced RV Park. Laid out in a way that you have a spacious area to yourself. Plenty of beautiful trees and scenery. The staff is friendly and helpful, the clientele is upscale therefore your neighbors are two if that's important to you? We were here a week, spent a Sunday checking out other parks this by far was the best for what we were looking for. Conveniently located to the attractions we were interested in. 35 ft. 5th wheel and long bed crew cab truck, no problem.... Good luck and be safe in your travels....

Not near the river and back of the park spots where we were is near busy and loud road. The road was behind a fence and we didn't hear the cars until after we set up. They should have told us that when we were selecting a site. Several much better park options nearby. Wouldn't stay there again if it was free.
