I will say I've not had good luck with the service department that the Merrillville store has.. I've had a problem with my hot tub for weeks and made several phone calls.. getting no response.. that's until I contacted the Merrillville store and talked to Dorothy.. within minutes of hanging up the phone I received a call from the service department.. the lady from the service department was rude but I finally got the answers I needed.. so I give Miss Dorothy 5 stars.. she couldn't have been any better or more helpful.. she resolved my issue and was quite pleasant while doing it.. I'd say Miss Dorothy deserves a raise..she actually cares.. keep up the good work Miss Dorothy and thank you again.. by the way Dorothy sold me my hot tub.. and was great then also!!!

I was looking for a patio table. After looking at several other competitors, I went to the Merrillville American Sale. I was very impressed with the selection and prices. The service was outstanding. Dorothy and Marcy were great. They took a lot of time with me and answered all my concerns. Dorothy also arrange a free delivery and setup. She also saved me 20% on a winter cover. I would highly recommend this store and especially Dorothy and Marcy.

My husband and I bought a new patio set from the Merrillville Indiana location and we couldn't be more pleased! Sandy was personable and helped us with every step and made the purchase such an easy decision. I recommend American sales and would definitely ask for Sandy!

Absolutely horrible. We paid cash up front for pool and nothing but disappointed. Told us pool would be installed in 3 weeks, ended up being 7 weeks. When pool was finished installed, they didn't even tell us, just left. No idea how to start up, chemicals or what to do. Left garbage all over yard. Worst experience of any purchase ever.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We were told they would price match a pool from sears. We go there to get the pool to be told that they won't price match it. Thank you for having us drive there for nothing. Called and spoke with a manager who still refused to honor it even after HIS EMPLOYEE said they would price match. Will never be doing business with them again and would strongly suggest you not either! I hope you love the nasty comment you greedy company!!!!
