With the vision of Owner, Constantine Katsifis, and the culinary skill of our talented staff, Americana Diner has redefined the diner category in Central Jersey. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to nearly 10,000 satisfied guests each week and continue to strive to meet and exceed expectations.

First time here despite it being so close to home. Went early on Sunday and received fast and friendly service. Though the building shows age in spots, the space is very appealing and I'm sure the current construction going on will make it even more pleasant to dine in. Food was prepared quickly, though the portions seem a bit small with some plates. In Jersey you just expect more, you know? But the meals were delicious nonetheless. Only other gripe was that I was not asked how I wanted my eggs, and of course they came out the one way I don't like them. Will definitely try this place out again and give an updated review.

*Great tasting food *Service is decent (3.9 out of 5) *Portions could be a little bigger, at least for the side dishes. A side order of fries or mashed potatoes could honestly be bigger. No reason to skimp on the serving size here. Seriously, you are charging your customers $3 dollars towards French fries which do not cost you that much money, yet you're serving them a small size portion in comparison to other restaurants. I'm not a fan of this new "small portion bigger price" trend. I'd rather be charged more up front, but know I'm going to eat a filling meal. Yes, I understand I could just order more food, but that's not the point. The point is, if you're going to charge $3 dollars for fries, please give your customers a little extra, that's all. Otherwise, food tastes AWESOME! Regardless, I'm still coming back to this place, because the food tastes great.

Once a hot spot for the excellent diner they were, the owners have tried to turn the diner into a high dinning experience. My recent visit will be my last for dining. The food was not impressive in taste, and was definitely not worth the price paid. My visit was with a party of 7. No one finished their meal. And unlike the past, no one wanted to take their leftovers home. Though I will not return to them to dine, I will return to. By their rye bread loaves. They are excellent and can be frozen.

They do the standard diner stuff but also offer lots of well executed modern options. The matzo ball soup has been a long time favorite there. There beer menu is decent and has improved in recent years. Update 8/3/2017:. There is something wrong with this old reliable diner. I've had 2 meals in a row that were sub par. Prices have gone up and service down. I've been coming here since 1997, before the lounge. People waiting at the door on a Thursday night with an entire open area? I've never seen the place anything but every table full. Worried.

First off, despite the name Americana Diner is more of a lounge. Owned by the same people as Skylark you really cannot go wrong here. They have a great selection of vegetarian and meat options, and put a great deal of effort into the quality of the food on the menu. Farm to table style, everything is delicious.
