Justin Plunk was the practice vet there this evening. We ended up leaving without any care. We were the only people in this place. Justin took his time coming into our room. When I left to use the restroom I saw him using his time to chit chat with the nurse on staff while she ate her dinner and not to help the patients. He seemed very uninterested in our situation and was not very friendly to us or our dog. Needless to say his bedside manner needed work. His first offer for our pupper was a whopping $700 for a small laceration on his front leg (oh but we could opt out of the blood work for $175 cheaper). The second offer was that he would clean and bandage the wound up so we could take him to our vet in the morning. We opted for this option (I realize that going to a 24hr hospital for animals is not cheap). We waited for an additional 30-45 minutes for him to “get stuff ready”. It seemed that since we didn’t choose the more expensive option we were left to fend for ourselves or wait forever! Of course we could have continued to wait but my husband and I were over it. We paid our $75 office visit fee and left. I have actually been here before and did not have a problem. However, this time the staff (except for the receptionist) couldn’t be bothered with our situation. We will not be returning to this hospital. I would say that if a different doctor is there you might have a good chance at a better experience, but Justin Plunk, not so much...

Be careful taking your Furry Babies here!!!! Warning!!!!! They will make you believe that your baby has a very good chance to live and charge you thousands of dollars playing on your emotions. That's what they did to me and I had to put mine down three days later!!!! He got worse and my vet said he didn't have a good chance from the beginning. They got me for eleven hundred dollars and tried to get more. They turned my life upside down!!! I feel so taken advantage of. 😢😢😢

It's very hard to lose a fur-baby. The staff at Animal Emergency Center was compassionate and very helpful. They explained everything they were going to do and what costs may be involved. They reviewed the ex-rays with me and what efforts could be done. When all of their attempts to help couldn't stop her suffering, they gave me the time and space to let me make one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make. They made the transition more bearable. They gave me options available for cremation. They sent me a condolence card with her paw print in it. I would recommend their services to anyone. A lot of people have to realize, this clinic is for emergency services, and like any emergency room, some life-saving measures may be required and yes, can cost more. But what is more important, money, or the life of your loving companion? Thank you for your help and kindness.

The staff was extremely friendly and kind! My husband and I were extremely satisfied and our pet was well taken care of. I read some of the bad reviews and have to say we were NOT charged upfront before our animal was seen - so I'm not sure what people are talking about. Our pet was seen first before any talk of payment (besides the charge for the visit which was shown to us on the paperwork we filled out) It is unfortunate that treating animals can be VERY costly ( We have 3 dogs so we know how costly it is!) but that is the financial responsibility you take as a pet owner. Medical issues for ANYTHING and ANYONE is expensive, maybe in the future there will be a more affordable path, but for now you eat the cost the best you can to take care of your loved ones.

While on an evening walk, without warning, my dog was bitten by a meandering dog. I am very happy I took my dog to Animal Emergency Center--everyone there was skilled, dedicated, focused, and caring. After treatment my dog received a cone-of-shame that was soft and could be inverted yet still protect the affected area. He now looks like the nosecone of a rocket rather then a flower but can see where he is going...
