My cat had several symptoms and of course they all worsened right before our family was leaving for a long weekend. I was very grateful the clinic was able to see her. The doctor examined her, then left to draft a treatment plan which included x-rays, blood work and medications. That was the last we saw of the doctor. I had many questions about the treatment plan - why were the medications prescribed before diagnostics completed? I did not feel my questions were adequately addressed. My request to speak to the doctor was ignored. I find it really interesting that the owner takes time to respond to online reviews, but didn't take the time to address my concerns while I was at the clinic.

I came here off a bad experience st Meadowbrook Veterinary Services in Novi. They are WONDERFUL here! My Simon's little tail is well taken care of and the staff is kind and attentive. The upcharge for the ER wasd worth it! I would recommend them to anyone who loves thier Fur Baby!

All the staff and veterinarians were kind, friendly, and helpful. The clinic was clean, and I felt that my cat received quality care. It's expensive, but emergency care is expensive, and I don't think that the costs were above what other emergency vets would charge. I would go back, if necessary (though I hope I don't have to!).

You can ignore the negative reviews on here. I brought my hedgehog, Elvira, in today because of a tumor that had grown rapidly and began to bleed. The doctor was honest. Surgery was a possibility, but the risks were great. Death from anesthesia, secondary infection, and the possibility that the hedgehog would tear out her sutures post surgery. They offered to send her home with antibiotics and pain meds in order to give us more time with Elvira, but warned us that the nature of the growth, which had developed a great deal of vascular tissue, could rupture and result in death from blood loss. The doctor left to let me weigh the options. Ultimately I made the difficult decision to euthanize Elvira as she was suffering and to give her to pain meds for just a little more time would be selfish and to subject her to surgery that could cause more pain and likely not end well was also selfish. I cried. A lot. The staff was supportive, especially the receptionist. Unfortunately, because of tight finances (was unemployed since February) I couldn't have her individually cremated for her ashes and the thought of burying her was unbearable. Imagine my surprise when they gave me her paw prints in clay before I left as a means to remember her by. They even agreed to cremate Elvira in her sleeping bag... It might not seem like a big deal to many, but it meant the world to me. Thank you everyone at AEC. You made an incredibly difficult day less painful.

This place is a rip off. They wanted $630 to put stitches in my dogs ear and I refused, I even asked the tech if this happened to her would she pay $630 at a vet for the same thing, she said "no." Then they wanted to charge me $92 for the exam. I sat in a room for an hour and their "exam" included thaking his tempature and listening to his heart beat, they didn't even take off the bandage to look at his ear because they didn't want it to bleed more in the exam room. Worst experience I've ever had at a vet, this place is a joke.
