The Animal Emergency Center of Temple-Belton is located in the Aubrey's Crossing shopping center at the intersection of I-35 and Loop 363 in Temple where the old K-Mart was located by AT&T Store, Temple Family Dentistry, and behind Luby's. We are just across from Home Depot, Target, Chili's, IHOP, and Cracker Barrel.

The AEC has been formed by nearly all Temple-Belton veterinary clinics, including veterinarians from Killeen, Harker Heights, Gatesville, and the surrounding rural areas. Our goal is to provide exceptional, affordable after hours, weekend, and holiday veterinary emergency care for the residents of the Central Texas area.

I went in with a 1 yr old corgi, he had a infection in his foot that was caused by a cut- the first vet tech we saw was pretty nice, even though she claimed he was only half corgi-which is fine but the vet wanted to do blood tests to check for cancer on a swollen foot( caused by the infection) - 1. If he's a mix he has very small chance of having cancer 2. He's one. Was disappointed in the lack of care and took us about an hour to have the vet actually see him. To my knowledge they only had one other dog but you wouldn't know since they seemed to be in the back just sitting around and talking. While we were waiting for the vet a critical puppy came in which is totally fine! That puppy needed care more than my pup! I was tempted to pay and go to the internet for a remedy until we could have him looked at by our vet. The vet came in and out told us it was infected and recommended antibiotics, pain medication, and a topical however when the second vet tech came back in with the original estimate it had numerous medications several antibiotics and several pain medication along with the topical- again he's one and 15 pounds, I chose to have the vet tech to only give him one antibiotic and one pain injection which was about $800 less than the original statement. Very disappointed with the shake down! Both vet techs were nice and the second one was wonderful! I hope I'm never in a situation to have to go there again however.

I had to put my dog to down. Everyone that I felt with or talk to where amazing sweet & truly sincere. They kindly informed me of the process. Gave me all the time I needed. Thank you so much. This the BEST place ever.

I have been blessed to have a healthy 12 y.o. male cat to date; however, yesterday my cat became very ill and I took him to this emergency care center and the staff provided EXCELLENT care. The vet tech, despite the late hour, treated my cat with a gentle touch, compassion, and a true love for what he does; I couldn't have asked for a better experience despite the distressing situation. He provided clear and precise family education for how we should care for our cat until he can be seen for further treatment. I am so thankful for their help, although it was excellent, I pray I never have to visit again!

I came in today 8/20/17 because the clinic closest to my house was closed on Sunday and this place to my surprise was open till 12:00 I came in around 1:30pm or later I'm not sure but I was really concerned about the well being of my dog Chiquis who is a small chihuahua mix who just 3 weeks ago had two puppies and even then she was having a little bit of trouble and so today I got really worried when I saw her having mild seizures on my couch I went in the place and the dude there I'm ashamed I didn't get his name but he was the most nicest man ever I also liked the tone of his voice so soothing anyways I read online that she had something called enclampsia and when I told them the symptoms they agreed with me and I felt very sad for a moment but Ik I was putting my dog in good hands they gave her something to help with her low calcium and told me to get some vitamins so she can take and I bought some but later that day I read that puppies shouldn't be drinking mothers milk for atleast 12-24 hours and so that's when I went into a panic I started making milk replacer but I didn't know if i wasn't making it right and the puppies didn't want any of it and so I got really worried that I wouldn't be able to withstand all that time by this time it was around 11:30 pm I was about to break but then I remembered that this place didn't close till 12 and so I called and the man with the nice voice answered and I told him my problem and he said that the doctor told him that it was ok for the puppies to drink the milk since I had the vitamins with me to give her for her calcium but that I should still be attentive and look after them. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for animals and I hope to become a vet someday so maybe I can help another panicking boy like me who's lost and knows not what to do this place although got some bad reviews they are alright in my book I thank the doctors and staff there that helped my dog today and I wish them a very successful career helping other peoples pets liked they helped mine

They did an excellent job with our sick puppy and communicated with me every step of the way. It was a sleepless night but we knew she was in very capable hands the whole time.
