Having been a member of a larger gym, I was initially skeptical of Anytime Fitness. When I went to check it out, Marissa was so welcoming, helpful and patient with my questions, that I figured I'd give it a try. Turns out that was a great decision. I've had nothing but positive experiences at AF White Oak. Marissa, Steve, and Zach always greet people by name and seem to genuinely care how everyone is doing on their fitness journey. Mike, one of the trainers, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful even if you're not having a session with him. Under his guidance, I was able to, in a very short time, achieve the results I'd wanted for years, but could never get. While his gigantic muscles intimidated me initially, I was pleasantly surprised with how patient and kind he is to all of his clients. He seems to truly care about their well-being. It's very refreshing to be part of a gym that feels like more than just a business. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness White Oak to anyone (and have!) that is looking for a clean, equipped gym with a friendly and competent staff.

In light of the change of ownership at the former Fitness 247, I decided to change gyms. Although I do the vast majority of my workouts during the day since I work overnight, I have a newfound passion for working out. Anytime Fitness in White Oak is smaller, but it has all that I need to accomplish my workout goals. After I first signed up, I had a free appointment with Steven Goodwin, one of the trainers. Although I never saw a need for a trainer, I decided to take up a jump start training program afterwards, and with Steven's help, I was able to lose some weight. He is a very good trainer, and he will work you and encourage you to give it your all. Although the training program that I had with him is over, the experience that I had training under him helped guide me in the right direction, a direction that I continue to this day. If anyone is ever in need of a trainer, Steven is highly recommended. Furthermore, it is never too crowded, despite being small. I have found myself more comfortable and refreshed ever since I started coming here. It is an experience like no other.

They refused to suspend my membership while I was pregnant and recovering from a csection and then they auto renewed my membership after my contract ran out and I told them I would not be renewing.

They never provided the services that I was supposed to get when I signed up. They did consistently take my money though. I feel like I was scammed and just threw my hard earned money away.

I have been with Anytime Fitness for three weeks now. More specifically I have been working with Steven Goodwin, one of the trainers there. My experience has been nothing but amazing. I went in knowing I needed to lose a significant amount of weight (204lbs !!!). First off, there was no judgment when signing up, Marissa, who helped me knew just what I needed and was able to guide me in the right direction. She gave a very detailed tour and payed attention to my needs of what I wanted out of a a gym. It is a very clean environment and the the 24 hrs a day thing is fabulous as I go at 5am! Now, our trainer, Steven, is fantastic,maybe even a God send! A lot of people look at me and pre-judge me thinking that I will give up or that I can't do it and Steven is the opposite. I can't say I wasn't intimidated when I saw him, but I held my emotions down and went along with it. He pushes me, he guides me and more importantly he motivates and cares. From combining workouts specifically for me and my husband to helping me with my nutrition, he covers all aspects of what I need. I have a medical condition called poly-cystic ovaries and he is even willing to take the time and read up on it just to make sure my weight loss is geared towards making me healthier in all aspects. I honestly couldn't of picked a better trainer and to be honest, at this point, he's not just a trainer, he's a friend and a motivator. If you're looking to get slim or to just tone up, he's your guy, his positive attitude will soar you to new heights while shedding those pounds and toning those muscles! I highly suggest Anytime Fitness and Steven Goodwin.
