MISSION STATEMENT:
Appalachian Gallery offers the highest quality full line of professional custom framing services and the widest selection of West Virginia crafts & art in the greater Morgantown area. Appalachian Gallery is proud to promote the artistic endeavors of artists & craftspeople in our state by providing a beautiful gallery space for the sale of their works.

Now located in the lovely historic Sandcastle building downtown, it is truly Morgantown’s Most Beautiful Store. Two free parking spaces for our customers are available adjacent to Morgantown Beauty College (between the school & Elk Street); in addition, parking is also available in the Spruce Street Parking Garage directly across the street (garage entrance is on Spruce Street; paystation & exit are on Walnut St.).

I always find items that are unique and perfect for gift-giving or for personal delight.  In a time of homogeneous "stuff," it is wonderful to know that I can purchase art on a small or large scale for each friend.  It is also a destination for friends who visit Morgantown for holidays.

The shopping experience at Appalachian Gallery is unmatched in Morgantown and beyond.  The gallery is a pleasant combination of beautiful objects in a lovely space. Upon arrival, one enters a very grand, well maintained victorian home with lots of light, high cielings and large rooms that are well suited to appreciating art, and shopping.  One finds a variety of local artists from the Morgantown area and greater West Virginia represented in the store. There is a great variety of artists' products ranging from paintings , drawings and prints, to hand-crafted jewelry, glass, pottery and woodwork.  The atmosphere of the shop is charged with creativity while it is also warm and inviting.  I make a point to visit and purchase at Appalachian Gallery every time I am in Morgantown.

For the same price one pays to mass retailers for home decor and jewelry, one can possess, enjoy, and share fine art and artisan-crafted objects from Appalachian Gallery. One gains the added satisfaction of supporting local economies and ecology by purchasing locally hand-crafted objects that are less prone to disposability than the offerings of mass retailers.  

In addition, I really appreciate how easy it is to park near the gallery. There are parking spaces by the gallery and a very convenient, inexpensive public parking garage directly across the the street from the gallery. It's much more pleasant than jockeying for a parking place at strip malls!
