Service and quality has definitely improved over the years! Cozy atmosphere (especially for sports fans!) and pretty fast service, even during lunchtime hours. I totally recommend their sweet potato mash! Sometimes however, the waitresses seem a little too attentive. If you're having a private moment this may be bothersome. Other than that, every time I've been here was great.

Maybe it's just our bad luck, but we have never had a good experience here. We ordered car side to go for our anniversary dinner and they forgot half our food and our dessert. When we called they were not very friendly and didn't seem to care they made a mistake. A few weeks later we decided to give it another try, again car side to go, and they forgot all the sauses for our food and our onion rings. We also waited 40 minutes... For an order we were told would be ready in 15. To many bad experiences here.

I just ate there with my wife and friends, and the food was delicious and timely. But, the topper was our waiter John. Seriously, he was on the ball the entire time. I looked down at one point, and I had my refill already. I didn't even see him place it, and I was on the inner booth. He was super friendly, too. And not just to us, but everyone in his section. He deserves a raise, he's contender for my second favorite waiter in Alpena now.

It shouldn't take an hour to get ceasar side salads out, but here we are. Millennials aren't killing Applebee's, garbage tier service like this is. Applebee's, If you want to stay relevant, sort yourself out. Until then, everyone should avoid this place like the plague! Wish I could give zero stars but 1 is as low as Google allows.

I can't eat a lot of processed foods and follow paleo diet. Picked bunless hamburger with the garden on the side & sweet potato fries. Hamburger was way overcooked/dry & lettuce wilted. Fries were coated in something and it was basically a gamble for me as to whether I would feel bad the next day. Headache today and bloated; the mystery food has done me in. Otherwise, standard service and everything else was up to par. Rest of the family seemed to enjoy their meals.
