where do i begin. normally i try to give places with poor reviews the benefit of the doubt...but in this case, the bad reviews were pretty spot on. i walked in early for my appointment for a braces consultation. i was not greeted when i walked in. i stood at the desk. no one acknowledged me. after a few minutes, someone came over and handed me the paperwork. i finished in about 10 minutes...i wasn't seen for another 2 HOURS! yes it was packed and busy, but this was a consultation not a root canal. other people who couldn't wait left. i stayed, again, giving them the benefit of the doubt. but people who came in after me were seen before me. weird. when i finally was called back, the orthodontist came in, very nice, seemed pleasant. he did a quick oral exam and made the same observations i made on my own and began suggesting my options. right away because of a fear of my nickel allergy, he suggested invisalign. i told him it wasn't a severe allergy but he didn't want to risk it. not once did the suggestion of ceramic braces (which were on display next to me so its not like it wasn't an option) come up.... wonder why.... i asked him a financial question and he couldn't answer that, so he left to ask someone else who knew...AND NEVER CAME BACK TO ME WITH THE ANSWER! instead, the assistant (who was not the most pleasant person in there), came in and started giving me prices for invisalign with and without insurance, as well as the regular prices for braces. the price i thought i would be paying (what i was told over the phone when i booked the consultation 3 weeks ago) without insurance turned out to be MORE than that WITH insurance. i immediately felt like i was being ripped off and treated like a conveyor belt patient so i said i would think about it and left. i thought about it in my car as i was google-searching another orthodontist. i dont know about the other offices, the other services, or the busiest times and days of their office hours...but what i do know is i did not like how i was treated for a first-timer in a place that is supposed to ease apprehensive patients - hence the name. the orthodontist did not seem like he was confident in what he was suggesting and i need someone who knows what they're doing. i will not ever set foot back in the "apprehensive" patient eatontown office.

I've been going to this office for about a year or two & really like the work they do as well as most everyone there.  The exception is one young lady who is in the front office answering phones and "greeting" patients...she always has an attitude -- her disgust even shows on her face!  Why would you have someone like this representing your office?!?!!?  It is not good for business...I beg the powers that be to offer her a position in your office where she doesn't have to deal with patients or anyone in the public, she is sure to be the downfall of your business.  Her attitude is simply horrible.  I am quite sure this is not the first you've heard of this either.  Dr. Patel asked that I visit the office once a month for a quick check in but I've been completely discouraged for the past 2-months...mostly because of how badly I dread the appointment process with this young lady.  I called today and started to bark back at her harsh tone, but quickly hung up & decided to try again another time...I just cannot deal with her anymore - and I won't!!!!

Never actually had the Dr. Do a cleaning it's usually the hygienist ..I went in to find out I had 4 cavities and a cleaning when I went back I all of a sudden had another so they had to put the worst one AGAIN on hold. I still feel pain where the fillings were done and the one with the biggest they keep putting off I swear maybe it's me but like they are waiting for a root canal ...even with the ones that have already been filled.. Dr. Patel and the assistant have always been extremely nice and friendly and most of the others except the one girl at the front ALWAYS has attitude!! She is clueless and beyond rude. You should not be working with the public if you can't even be nice. Also I feel like I am overcharged each time I go the price changes.

I will say that the place is interesting. I do not understand why you think that Lisa is the rudest person there. Her and the hygienist seem to be the nicest ones there....

search around, im sure you will find a much better place. when this office first opened up in the late 90's i recommended them to everyone it was top-notch but as they grew they became the reprehensive patient, a total 180 from which they were, i agree with the negative reviews others have given them. i can no longer recommend them in good conscience
