Dr. Nogueira did a " gum grafting" of my gums on both sides. This entails surgically adding skin graft from another part of my gum and adding it to to area that is receding. It involved a few visits, but was well worth it! It healed smoothly and I have no discomfort . I also love the way it looks now! Dr. Nogueira and his staff were very professional, friendly and extremely attentive. Thanks to you all!

I requested a consultation for veneers as a more permanent solution to 2 bonded teeth. At first the receptionist insisted that I have a cleaning with them even though I recently had one at my own family dentist, she finally relented & made an appointment. I saw Dr. Gus Nogueira. During my consultation with him, he told me at least 4 times that my insurance would not cover the work & was I aware of the cost of the veneers. I felt like he was insinuating that I may not be able to afford them even though I had researched the cost & could obviously afford them or wouldn't be wasting their time or mine. He quoted $1200 for each veneer, then insisted I needed a nighttime mouth guard for several hundred more dollars because he could tell from the "wear" on my teeth that I grind them at night. I have never been told by any other dentist that I grind my teeth or needed a mouth guard. I felt like he was trying to get me to buy an unnecessary item, (which is weird since he acted like I couldn't afford the veneers). If you want to feel judged, made to feel poor & not good enough to be in his office, then go see Dr. Nogueira. If not, do yourself a favor & stay away from this place. I ended up going to another cosmetic dentist on the island. They made me feel welcome & I got my veneers for $900 each & I am very happy with the work. They also said I didn't need a nighttime mouth guard!
