Story

Prepare to soar through the forest, cross wobbly bridges, rappel from trees, take in rarely seen views of the Northern Green Mountains and relax to the sound of an ever babbling mountain brook as your guides instruct you in the technique of zip lining and share their knowledge and passion about wild places, Vermont, and the great outdoors. Coming Spring of 2013, a new aerial adventure park. Designed for those who want to get dirty and physical. The new course will have 40+ elements ranging from easy to difficult. The first half of the course has been designed to accommodate children, ages 4+.

This was an awesome experience for our family of four and definitely worth the money.  Our guides, Jack and Scott, made everything even more fun and entertaining.  The pictures they took were awesome too, and only cost $15.  It was a once in a lifetime experience we'll never forget!

ArborTrek set up a climbing wall at Stowe's annual July 4th celebrations and my kids loved it! Both my 7 year old and 4 year old tried out the climbing wall. The staff were extremely professional, patient and friendly. We have also visited ArborTrek at the Smugglers Notch location. Beautiful location and the park far surpassed my expectations. They have great tree top canopy options for all skill and age levels.

This company offers several different packages, but I did the zip lining. There are 8 different lines, 2 suspension bridges and 2 rappeling platforms. It is all fantastic!
I went in a group of 8 that ranged from a 10 yrs old girl to a woman in her 50s (okay that's me.) We all had a great time. The two guides were funny, charming and informative. They made sure we were safe, trained and that we were having fun. The landscape is so breathtaking that even waiting on each platform is awesome. I had a great time.
The prices are very reasonable for the experience and I highly recommend it for all ages (10 yrs & older) as a fun adventure.

ArborTreck is loved by my friends here in Vermont and by the many that I know who come up to experience Vermont. I like to hike - but I am not that adventurous to be rock climbing, etc -and heights are not exactly my thing -  so the idea of zip lining was not exactly on my bucket list. 

BUT - when offered a non-refundable gift - -at age 65 I drove over to the Arbortrek which is near Smuggler's Notch resort. The staff were very helpful and I went through a general class on how to put on the equipment - and what to expect - then they took us out and demonstrated the overhead braking technique - and allowed us, with encouragement - to practice. 

We then drove up to the top of the run in their tour bus. With good instruction and great attitudes - the staff helped each of us to understand each of the eight ziplines that take participants down the mountain. Although I was timid at first - soon I was flying along at each zipline -  and loving it! 

I am not sure that this bookish person will be back to try it again - but I recommend it to all  - - and so many just LOVE IT! And to those who do ziplines around North America - - I have heard that this is one of their favorites!

Can't say enough about this place! Loved the whole experience from start to finish!  Derek and Jack were friendly and funny, and made the tour an amazing experience. Definitely check this one off of your bucket list!
