I've been at Stanford for several months now, but I stopped in to try Arbuckle for the first time last week. The Business School has slightly better food that the rest of campus, and I was surprised by how affordable my lunch was. I really liked that Arbuckle has a lot of healthy options— a full salad bar, and a fresh grill section. I ordered a grilled chicken breast with the seasonal vegetable side, and it was the perfect no-frills lunch I was looking for. I also found the service to be pretty good at Arbuckle. Customer service is often disappointing at campus eateries— employees think students have limited options and are likely to bring repeat business anyway, are less likely to complain to management, etc. However, Arbuckle gets orders out quickly, even in the lunchtime rush. And the employees were very friendly in helping me figure out the ordering system when I seemed confused (hint to first-timers: At the grill station, grab an order form and golf pencil on the left-hand side, then put it in the box on top of the counter when complete). Arbuckle is a decent option for those days when you forget your lunch at home, you're too lazy to pack one, or just feel like going out. It's pretty quick, affordable, and has a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the California weather.
