It would be interesting going to small airports casually or more privately. Although I miss the glamour of riding an airplane in my teen years.

I was surprised for the comments for Door To Door Airporter. I live here for more than 10 yrs, and I use the shuttle a lot, as well as my friends and everybody I know. They are so known for being reliable, being on time and they are very nice and very hard working individual. They always on time to pick me up for my flight and when I arrive at the airport, they are always there right by their sign, Door -To-Door Airport Shuttle sign. ( So simple and easy to find because that's the only sign that you can find at the front of the airport). They are always on top for flight checking so whenever I arrive, even if the flight is on time or delay, they are there waiting for me. We, the whole humboldt county rely on them and we are so fortunate  to have this Airport Shuttle. I highly recommend them. Take the shuttle, so simple and the price is always half the price of the cab company. If I am not mistaken, they are in business for almost 20 yrs,  and they keep their reputation for those years. Best service in Humboldt County.

Flown out of this airport many times and there are always delays but this time is by far the worst - clear skies from here to San Fran and the attendant is lying to us saying we have a weather delay in SF this airport is garbage I see why they are hemorrhageing money gave it two bc I usually like small airports

The staff are friendly, but it's also an incredibly tiny airport in a very small town, so expect to possibly have to wait on getting your bags checked by virtue of the fact they're only operating with a dozen employees at any time.  But they have wifi and the restaurant upstairs is pretty solid, and unlike most airports you can actually smoke as long as you walk the 10ft across from the front door to the parking lot.
