My experience with this agency was horrible enough that I am writing a review to warn anyone before making the decision to work with them. I also just read  the other review and am not surprised to what they wrote since my experience was bad as well. I was a first time home buyer and in my experience, found that this agency is not willing to compromise with you when making a deal, and it makes it harder to negotiate terms when they do not answer emails or phone calls. My agent had the worst time communicating with them, they started a bidding war in the middle of our offer without any response to our initial offer. They answer when they want, keep you waiting, are unapologetic and you are at their mercy when you are very interested in a property.
 We did have our offer accepted, however, we were  holding our breath every step of the way, based off the actions of this agency from the very beginning. Then when it finally came down to closing, THEY dropped the ball so many times, wasted time off we had to not have things done on the day of, that any other agency would not have forgotten. We had our closing delayed to later in the week, the night before the original date, (that was the fault of the village) then  we scheduled it for Friday at 9 am that week, and they  had us sitting around all day, did not have the stamp ready for the finalization of the closing (Real estate 101-DON"T FORGET THE STAMP) , then literally LIED and told our agent that the runner was on their way to us to bring the STAMP, this was a LIE. Later to find out, that they waited until 10 minutes before the village office closed to attempt to make a payment to obtain the stamp (that was 3 hours after they said the runner had already done this and was heading our way.)The office did not accept the payment since the runner did not come with the right type of funds, office closed and the whole day came and gone and we were not closed and finalized until Monday after they finally went back to get the stamp. Bank did not let us move our stuff throughout the weekend, so we lost a weekend of moving and truck rental.
Please be careful before working with this agency, they will not be cooperative to communicate with, (which is key when buying and selling), they do not want to work with you in any compromise, they are not held accountable for THEIR mistakes, they do not care about your time and I'm pretty sure is against some sort of rule, to  LIE to your clients in a real estate transaction! Make sure whatever property you want to buy or sell is WORTH having to put up with such UNPROFESSIONALISM! Did I mention that they never even came to pick up the key lock?

I was lucky enough to be able to purchase my 2nd home and deal with this agency. There were a few kinks along the way but I better understood that purchasing a foreclosed property was different than a regular purchase as was my first home therefore patience is a must! My agent and this agency were in contact every step of the way and worked with my husband and I to get it done. Very satisfied with the customer service we received from Area Wide.

Five stars! Working with Area Wide Realty was a great experience. Being a Real Estate Investor and working with several different REO Brokerage’s in the past I found Area Wide Realty to be courteous, professional and prompt when replying to my agent’s inquiries. I understand that when purchasing a property from a bank the response time is longer, however Area Wide Realty was on top of the transaction every step of the way. I look forward to working with them in the future.

I usually do not write reviews but after the experience I had with Michael Olszewski I figured i should take the time to let everyone know that it was far from a great experience. I had been looking into a property he was renting out and was the first person to submit an application to try and rent the property out. I know there is a process and that other applicants would be considered if they submitted an application.  From the beginning when I had submitted the application I was working with an agent who was constantly in contact with him. When it was first submitted he let my agent know that he was out of town but that everything looked good and he would be in touch on a Sunday when he returned from out of town. Well Sunday came and went and days and days past. Within these days my agent called him multiple times asking for an update and would never receive a response. She called and texted him multiple times. And he continuously did not respond. Eventually he responded and said he went with someone who offered more money on rent. We were upset but decided that it wasn't meant to be. Then this past Friday 4/20 he reached out to our agent and said the other applicants fell through and if we were still interested he can draw up a lease. We decided we would still like it and our agent literally called him 23 minutes later to let him know. Once again she received no answers. Over the whole weekend she called and texted him and he once again failed to respond. Until Sunday he finally returned a phone call and said that he had been out of the office but was still interested in working with us. My agent even asked if he was looking into any other applicants and he stated that he wasn't looking into other apps and that he was interested in working with me. He then told her he will call her first thing Monday morning (today) to give a concret answer and possibly draw up a lease. So then i received a messge from my agent today telling me that he now has went back to the other people who offered more rent. So basically he kept us as a back up and had us on a rollercoaster ride the whole time to see if the other people would eventually come through or not. Instead of being honest and letting us know that he was still looking into the other applicants he made me and my agent believe that he was going to work with me. The fact that his professionalism was horrible with his lack of communicating and having me on a rollercoaster i would recommend anyone to not work with him unless you are offering more money as it seems like that is what matters. Also I have worked with many other Realtors and have never had and experience like this one.
