Story

We are Arkansas largest blind consumer organization with our only Thrift Store located right here in Springdale, Arkansas! For this reason, our store is relied upon greatly to support the Arkansas Council of the Blind. We sell a variety of donated items in our store as a fund-generator for our organization. We are NO LONGER on Emma Street; we have MOVED to 419 East Robinson (Hwy 412) (directly across from FedEx). We have a beautiful, 8,000 square foot store that is well kept and decorated with wonderful items that have been donated by our great community!

Mission

• Through a representative state-wide organization primarily of blind people.

• By providing the free exchange of ideas, opinions, and information relative to the matters and concerns of blind people through publication of the Braille Forum Magazine.

• By providing a forum for the view of the blind from all corners of the state and from all walks of life.

Was going to drop off a few things for donation. A Saturday @ 1:45. The owner Bonnie something or other comes out with THE most hateful attitude and the first words I hear are "No. No. No. I'm sick and tired of you people...". That was all it took. I picked up my donations put them back in the car and drove them to Goodwill where they gladly accepted it. I will NEVER go back to Arkansas Council of the Blind for any reason.

Not so great. Looked around, didn't find much. Also wasn't impressed with the staff. Not rude, just not friendly either. Also, they priced a roasted Buddy Holly record for $80. A mint condition version goes for no more than $40...how did they double it?? All their records were well over priced.
