Many intriguing varieties of plants flourish at Armstrong. They had “Illumination” a hybrid developed from foxglove to brighten up the garden. Jason who is a California native plant specialist on staff helped me with plant identification.

Music floods the atmosphere and a delightful Mozart's Sonata No. 11 in A played as we toured the gardens with the sound of bubbling fountains. They also help carry plants out to the car and provide liners at no charge.

Discovered a magnificent "Stargazer Hydrangea" destined for a surgeon who earned a 5 star review and the hydrangea will have a good life in San Marino or Pasadena in his hands. The roses looked sad, yet it was quite a hot day (happens with my roses too).

Very helpful , knowledgeable,& friendly people working there. Only complaint, 2"
succulents, quite a few were dead! Not very good choice.

Great classes, and they are free.  Very helpful staff.  The plants are healthy and they have a great selection.

The staff is always professional,  accommodating, and helpful.  The plants I've purchased from here have always done well in my garden.
