One of my ultimate favorite places around Boston! The area of the arboretum is big enough that you almost forget you're still only 15 minutes away from the bustling heart of the city. With a beautiful collection of trees and plants from around the world, there is plenty of room for adventure and exploration - paths to take a stroll on, hills to roam through, various wildlife to encounter, and secluded areas to relax in. I've come back here numerous times over the past 6 years and each time has been a unique and refreshing experience.

This is an amazing spot to spend time outside without needing to leave the city. The paved trails are great for riding a bike, and the smaller trails are really nice for walking and running. There are plenty of open grassy areas to lay down and read or just relax when the weather is nice. It's also encouraging that the Arboretum is using goats to control invasive weeds to avoid putting down herbicides.

Great place for a walk or to spend an evening reading our relaxing. Lots of quite spots and beautiful landscapes to choose from. The trails are well marked and fairly easy. Many of the trees are decades old. Highly recommended for all ages.

Most beautiful place in the area. Several gates to park your car at. Main gate best for wheelchairs or seniors to park at. Free. Trees and bushes are spectacular. Free maps at main gate. Free tours offered. Rest rooms and water fountain at the Hunnewell Center at the main entrance. Go see the Green houses and the Bonsai collection next to them. Some sections are hilly. Wear good walking shoes. Quiet walking area on Bussey St., artists paint near bubbling brook in woods. Dogs must be on leash. Something for everyone. Tourists from all over the world snap photos. Plan to spend hours. Nice place to walk for those in love.
