Story

We are back to regular hours. We accept donations at the back door on Mondays and Thursdays and anytime the Shop is open.

Volunteers working in the Tucson community to help those in need.

Products

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL® is our largest philanthropic program. This year we dressed more than 3700 children in 33 schools from the Altar Valley, Amphi, Flowing Wells, Sunnyside, and Tucson Unified School Districts. We also serve Southern Arizona Children’s Association. Our cost to dress each child is $80.

STARTING OVER SUPPLIES We work with more than 11 agencies in Tucson to provide people who have left shelters or abusive home situations with basic housekeeping supplies so they can live independently.

ASSAULT SURVIVOR KITS® Partnering with the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA), we have responded to the needs of victims of sexual assault in our community, providing over 200 kits this year for use at local area hospitals and trauma centers.
The kits contain clothing and toiletries and the average cost is about $12. The number of kits requested by SACASA has increased every year, and we have also seen an increase in the number of kits requested for children.

Project Teddy Bear provides more than 2000 bears annually for emergency personnel to distribute to children in crisis.

Assistance League of Tucson has an Assisteens® auxiliary.
Participation begins in freshman year and continues through senior year to develop personal growth, leadership skills, and civic responsibility. The main program, “Assisteens Helping Tucson Teens,” provides supplies for middle school teachers to support art, music or physical education.
