Sadly, I had a great experience with Sarah at the store today. She was super helpful and very friendly. I had every intention of shopping at that store only from now on. However, I upgraded my old phone to a new one and when it came time to transfer my data to my new phone, I mentioned an app that another store had used to transfer my wife's data. She did not use the app but apparently used my iCloud backup. Sarah told me she would transfer my data but I would lose everything since May 8th (last month). Once the transfer was complete and I was home, I found that I in fact lost everything since Last May, 2016. As you can imagine, this was awful. Imagine losing a year of your life on your phone. She had me check and make sure everything was there but I didn't make sure the dates were correct or anything, just that I had pictures, messages, contacts etc. She then wiped my phone and it was gone. It was an honest mistake but I am the only one who has to suffer. AT&T still gets their service fee every month, the store got the sale and Sarah her commission. My advise and reason for the post is this. Don't allow an iCloud backup to be used. Yes, what happened was terrible but avoidable. To me, a big deal but not a huge deal. It may be a bigger deal to someone else and cause more issue for them.
