Visiting this location was not my choice this was something my wife insisted we had to do. After having touted the exhibits, I am glad that she did. Their numerous exhibitions were well worth going there. Obviously the butterfly room was beautiful, but their cafe was especially amusing. Their cafe specifically featured numerous types of bugs prepared for eating. Obviously not for the faint of heart or sensitive palate but I found it rather intriguing to see just how all of these things might taste.

This is a place where kids of all ages can revel in what is cool about insects! I was particularly excited about the Butterfly room where one can interact with a myriad of species not generally encountered here in the USA. My wife and I were enthralled by the whole experience in spite of the influx of eager young people and teachers. One of the staff in articular fielded my spontaneous questions about how the center acquired all the species and patiently explained how they tracked the life span of each butterfly! Awesome place to go!

I quite liked this place. I wish there had been just a bit more display on the prehistoric insects but in general it was pretty nice. You can pet a roach! The price was alright. The only thing that was odd is that it is in a federal building. From all but one side of the building you wouldn't even think that the insectarium was there! Being a federal building, you do have to go through a security scanner. Strange, but minor.

This spot takes about 2 hours to go around, has a lot of information about insects and is a great place to spend time with the kids. The immersion theatre experience was fantastic! Parking is a bit of a stretch, but we used the 6 hr discounted parking to cover both the Aquarium and the Insectarium.

Good way to blow off an hour or so. The kid loved it not so much for the wife. All the exhibits were in good condition and well done. I wish they had a fun zone for the kids to just play.
